The web can be a daunting place. There are thousands, if not millions of sites selling what you’re selling. How do you stand out and compete with a limited budget?

As any marketer will tell you, the first step is to make sure you’re targeting the right customer. You don’t want your messages going to eyes and ears that aren’t interested. And with the web being international, you need to make sure that if you’re not a huge, multinational corporation, you’re only focusing your efforts on customers who can actually benefit from your products or services. AMC has gotten the attention of many of us in the world of marketing and advertising
with The Pitch. The Pitch is a show about two agencies vying for the business of a corporation that needs the services of only one. The assignment is given at the begenning of each show by the decision makers at a given corporation. Each agency then scrambles back to their respective cities and begin to create. The show treads lightly around the creative process without giving too much away. Finally comes the "pitch" this is the part where it gets really interesting. Each team goes into the boardroom, technology and ideas in hand; some overconfident some scared out of their wits. As each team makes its presentation you get to see who really "got it". 
The best thing about the show so far is that the companies have typically chosen the agency that really listens and not only gives them what they wanted; finds a way to create synergy between client and corporation. Awesome show. Great Job AMC-
